School Choice Information

This school year, Bourne Public Schools is a School Choice Receiving District for students in grades 1-12. "The school choice program allows parents to send their children to schools in communities other than the city or town in which they reside. Tuition is paid by the sending district to the receiving district. Districts may elect not to enroll school choice students if no space is available."

On this link, we have provided information for families and students interested in enrolling and gaining access to program offerings in the Bourne Public Schools. Students may apply for school choice at any time during the year, however the number of slots allotted annually is limited.

Please note that Bourne's participation in the School Choice program requires an annual school committee vote, typically in the month of May.

Families interested in the school choice option at Bourne High school are required to fill out an application and submit it to the guidance office located at 75 Waterhouse Road, Bourne MA 02532.

The application is first reviewed by the building principal and then forwarded to the Superintendent of Schools for final approval.   We strongly encourage potential applicants to make an appointment with a guidance counselor to discuss this option further. Please call 508-759-0670 with any questions or to make an appointment.
