Students, alumni, parents, families and community mebers are invited to attent the Thanksgiving Bonfire event on Wednesday, November 22. The Thanksgiving game will take place on Jackson Field on November 23 at 10 AM.

The First Annual John C. Keefe Memorial 5K Road Race - Saturday, November 25, 2017 5K

This event is designed to raise funds that will go directly to the John C. Keefe Scholarship. One half of the funds raised will be given as a college scholarship to a BHS Senior who best exemplifies the grace and kindness of Mr. Keefe. The other half will go to BHS 8th graders who may need some financial assistance for the annual BMS, Washington DC trip.  A trip, during which, Mr. Keefe connected with hundreds of students over the years.

BHS History Club Hosts Veterans Day Event BHS History Club Hosts Salute to Veterans November 9

Parents, students, and community members are invited to attend the BHS History Club's Salute to Veterans on November 9.

The assembly will be held at 1:15 PM in the school's gymnasium - guests are asked to sign in at the main office upon arrival.

Bourne High School Summer Reading List Posted! Summer Reading

As a whole-school requirement, all students at all levels are required to read Daniel James Brown’s The Boys in the Boat as Bourne High School embarks on the fourth year of the One Book, One School program. Follow-up book discussions with student and community participants and/or individual teacher assessments will take place at the beginning of the school year.

Bus stops for the 2017-2018 school year are determined by the completed applications received. To ensure that your student has appropriate transportation for the fall, please complete the required bus application by June 30.  Applications must be submitted annually.  If you have any questions, please contact Sue Downing sdowning@bourneps.org or Jean White jwhite@bourneps.org. BPS Collaborates with Boston University, The ARC of MA & Commonwealth's Department of Developmental Services Making Friends icon

 

BPS is Collaborating with Boston University, The ARC of MA & Commonwealth's Department of Developmental Services to develop Making Friends in School: A Toolkit for Teachers, Paraprofessionals, and Parents.  This toolkit will be a resource for both schools and families in providing strategies that promote the development of friendships among all students.  

Free AP Study Sessions Offered in 2017-2018 Letters of AP

Bourne High School is pleased to partner with Mass Insight’s Mass Math + Science Initiative (MMSI), the largest math and science program in the state. This grant is designed to increase student participation and performance in AP Math, Science and English. The MMSI program relies on multiple resources and support systems to help schools reach their performance goals each year, including world-class teacher training and professional development (AP Summer Institute and 2-Day training sessions), Saturday student study sessions, and content support from experienced math, science, and English directors.
