Grade 10 ELA MCAS Testing March 26-27 MCAS Testing

The successful completion of the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment Tests (MCAS) is a requirement to obtain a high school diploma. Every grade 10 student is scheduled to take the MCAS tests in English and math this spring, 2019. This year’s ELA MCAS test will be administered on March 26 and 27.

As part of our ongoing efforts to prepare students for the ELA MCAS test sessions, Mrs. McDonald  will facilitate a grade 10 assembly on March 25 on “What to Expect on the ELA MCAS Test.” This presentation is designed to provide students an overview of the ELA MCAS tests as well as helpful test-taking strategies.

We cannot emphasize enough the importance of attendance and preparation for this important testing opportunity.  Students must arrive to school ON TIME, since the testing is scheduled to begin immediately at the start of first block (7:15 AM).  To maximize student test readiness, please encourage your son/daughter to get a good night’s rest and to eat a healthy breakfast in the morning.

If you have any questions regarding the MCAS test please contact your student’s guidance counselor at (508) 759-0670 Extension 2.
