Bourne Middle School Hosts Rachel's Challenge

Rachel's Challenge Start a Chain Reaction

Join Bourne Middle School Tuesday, November 14, 2017 for the Rachel's Challenge Presentation in the BHS Auditorium. The grade 5 & 6 presentation will be at 8:15 am and the grade 7 & 8 presentation will start at 9:45 am. Parents and community members are welcome.

The 5th and 6th grade presentation is a 60 minute presentation on Rachel Scott's story and her challenge to deliberately reach others with kindness. Rachel's story, including the Columbine tragedy is told through the eyes of her family member.

The 7th and 8th grade presentation is a 60 minute presentation on the inspiring story of Rachel Scott whose example of kindness and acceptance was brought to light when she was the first victim of the Columbine High School tragedy.

Both presentations have a call to action for our students to look for the best in others, dream big, chose positive influences, speak with kindness, and start your own chain reaction.

Our FOR (Friends of Rachel) club has been an important group in our school over the past few years promoting acts of kindness. Our entire school community is invited to highlight acts of kindness big and small through the use of #BourneKind on social media.
