Mrs. Dodge's (Cabral) and Mrs. Repeta's Photography Students got selected for this highly competitive New England juried exhibition, the UMD Emerging Young Artist Show! This year they had a record of over 823 submitted artworks by 493 artists all across the state, from which the juror, Dean David Klamen, selected just 66 works to be in the exhibition. RECEPTION AND AWARDS PRESENTATION:
Saturday, February 10, 1–3pm
The following awards will be presented by CVPA’s Dean David Klamen at 2:30pm:
Dean’s Award, 1st Place Award, 2nd Place Award, 3rd Place Award and 10 Honorable Mentions. The Dean’s Award, 1st Place Award, 2nd Place Award and 3Rd Place Award winners will receive a $1000 scholarship if they enroll as a major at the College of Visual and Performing Arts at UMass Dartmouth. Every student whose work merits an award will be given a portfolio review waiver if he or she applies to CVPA. All EYA 2018 exhibitors will receive a Certificate of Participation.
Snow day: In case of inclement weather the exhibition’s reception and awards presentation will be on Sunday, February 11th, same times. They will post it on www.Facebook.com/umassdartmouthgalleries
