This year Bourne High School is excited to host a fall Parent/Caregiver Teacher Conference Night on October 10, 2018 from 4 – 7 PM. Unlike the traditional Back to School Night event, parents/caregivers are afforded the opportunity to meet one-on-one with their student’s teachers. It also provides the flexibility to balance multiple students’ schedules in one evening. These brief individual meetings are designed to build relationships and set the stage for collaboration among teachers and caregivers that will last throughout the year.
Parents/caregivers may register for 7 minute time slots through our online registration program by CLICKING HERE or by cutting and pasting this address to your browser:
When selecting and registering for individual meetings, please be sure to allow for passing time between teachers (approximately 5 to 10 minutes).
If you do not have internet access and would prefer to schedule your appointment by phone, please call 508-759-0670 extension 2 to do so. Likewise, if you would prefer to schedule a lengthier conference with your student’s teachers on an alternate date, you may do so by contacting our guidance office at 508-759-0670 extension 2.
During the evening, we ask that you please stop by our Library Media Center for light refreshments and check out our hands-on, interdisciplinary learning environment, the Innovation Studio. You may also check out our new Aquaponics lab as well! Students will be available to assist with directions and answer any questions.
This opportunity is designed to open lines of communication between school and home and is just as valuable for teachers as it is for parents. We do hope that you will take advantage of this worthwhile event to meet with your student’s teachers and use it as a springboard for continued dialogue throughout the school year.
