Chromebook

In a continued effort to support students and families during this uncertain time with the Coronavirus, Bourne Public Schools would like to offer our Chromebooks on loan to families in need. A Chromebook is a laptop that operates on Google Chrome for a variety of applications but does not save the data to a hard drive.

A Chromebook requires wifi access. If your family is need of wifi access Comcast is offering low-income Internet Essentials customers two months of free internet (normally $9.95) and is raising the speed of that program to 25/3 Mbps. In addition, Xfinity Wifi will be free for everyone, including non-Xfinity subscribers. Comcast will also not be disconnecting internet or assesing late fees for customers who contact the company. For more information on the Internet Essentials program please go to https://www.internetessentials.com/ or call 1-855-846-8367.
